Soon I Will Be Forever Gone

Happy Sunday Everyone:

The timing of things that happen in our lives is always fascinating to me, including this email. We’ve been focused on time management, and understanding what our time is worth. When you break down your income to what you earn by the minute, it helps you get out of the company gossip, the watercooler talk, the person who wants to show up in your office and bitch about something neither of you have any control over. For many people on this email, those 15 minute conversations are at a cost of $100-500, not to mention the negative energy you now need to reverse to get back on track. When you quantify the opportunity cost of what is lost, you focus more on not doing things that waste your time. I’ve been focused on it a ton, and it’s what I was going to go in depth on today, and then I received what is below from my CEO yesterday. He’s not one to forward emails or go too deep on stuff not related to business, so when he sends, I read. My thoughts around time management and its importance are the sophomoric version compared to what is below. I’m grateful this dying young man had the courage to write what is written below, and my hope is all of us would think more about our time, and not waste it on anything less than the big stuff. Not sure if I’m just hanging around with bigger people the last few years but it’s a blessing this seems to be a common theme, our time, and we’re all thinking more about it, and learning…..

Please take a minute to click on the below link and give it a read.

[Text] Soon I will be gone forever, but that’s okay as long as someone reads this from GetMotivated

Have a great Sunday, and thoughts and prayers to our friends on this string down in Texas, we’re thinking about you.
